GI Pipe Fittings Price List in Kenya 2026: Elbows, Tees, Nipples, Unions and Reducers

Even in buildings plumbed with PPR, GI (galvanised iron) fittings are everywhere: at the meter, on tank outlets, pumps, borehole heads and taps. They join with threads, so they are also the go-between for PPR, HDPE and brass. Here is Biglit Limited's GI fittings price list on Buy More Mall.

GI Elbows, Tees, Sockets, Unions, Plugs and Caps

Sizes are listed as the seller names them (½", ¾", 1"). Tap a fitting to open it.

• Socket: joins two male threads in a straight line.
• Union: like a socket but opens in the middle, so you can remove a pump, meter or valve without cutting the pipe.
• Plug (male) and cap (female) close off an end.

Nipples: Hex, Barrel and Long Thread

A nipple is a short piece threaded on both ends. It joins two female fittings, for example a valve to a tee.

Reducing Sockets and Reducing Bushes

A reducing socket joins two pipes of different sizes. A reducing bush screws into a bigger female fitting to take a smaller one. "32X25" means 32 mm (1") down to 25 mm (¾").

Backnuts and Black Pipe

Backnuts lock a tank connector or threaded fitting tight against a tank wall.

How to Seal a Threaded Joint

1. Clean the threads and check they are not damaged.
2. Wrap thread tape clockwise (the direction of tightening), 5–10 turns, or use hemp with paste for bigger sizes.
3. Tighten by hand, then 1–2 turns with a pipe wrench. Overtightening can crack fittings.
4. Open the water and check for drips before closing the wall or trench.
