Seller Right of Withdrawal

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Selling on Buy More Mall Kenya is voluntary. This page explains how a Seller can pause or leave the marketplace, what happens to open orders and money, and when and how we may withdraw our service from a Seller.

Pausing your shop

You can pause selling at any time, for example during holidays or stock shortages, by setting your products out of stock or unpublishing them in your seller dashboard. You must still fulfil orders placed before you paused. If you need help, email info@buymoremall.co.ke.

Closing your shop

  1. Send a closure request from the email registered to your shop to info@buymoremall.co.ke, or through your dashboard where available. Include your shop name.
  2. We confirm the request within 2 working days and unpublish your listings, usually within 48 hours of confirmation.
  3. You must complete or cancel (with full refunds) any orders already placed, and handle returns and warranty claims for items you have sold.
  4. Your final payout is released once all orders are delivered and their return periods have ended, less commission, refunds and any amounts owed.
  5. Your shop and account are then closed. We keep records that the law requires us to keep, such as tax and transaction records for 7 years, and delete or anonymise other data (see our Privacy Policy).

Package fees when you leave

Seller package fees are paid in advance for a fixed period and are not refunded when a Seller closes a shop early. Unused listing allowance and time do not carry over.

When we may suspend or close a shop

We may suspend or close a shop, hide listings or withhold payouts linked to affected orders, in cases such as:

  • sale of counterfeit, prohibited or unsafe products
  • fraud, fake orders or fake reviews, or asking buyers to pay outside the platform
  • repeated failure to fulfil orders, accept valid returns or respond to buyers
  • failure to provide or maintain verification documents
  • a court order or request from an authority

Except where urgent action is needed to protect buyers or comply with the law, we will first warn you and give you a reasonable time to fix the problem. We will tell you the reason for any suspension or closure.

Appeals

You may appeal a suspension, closure or payout hold within 14 days by emailing info@buymoremall.co.ke with the subject "Seller appeal", explaining why the decision should change and attaching any evidence. A different team member from the one who made the decision will review the appeal and respond within 10 working days. If the decision is reversed, your listings and payouts are restored.

Rejoining

Sellers who closed their shop voluntarily can reopen at any time by registering again or asking us to reactivate the shop. Shops closed for serious breaches may be refused.
