How to Choose the Right Screen

1. Size: measured diagonally, in inches (12.5", 13.3", 14.0", 15.6").
2. Pins: the connector at the back of the screen. The new screen must have the same number of pins as your laptop's display cable (30 or 40).
3. Mounting: "frame" screens have metal brackets (ears) on the sides for screws; "frameless" screens are thinner and are held by the lid. Order the same type as the old one.
4. Touch or high refresh: touch laptops need a touch screen, and gaming laptops with 144 Hz screens need a 144 Hz replacement to keep the smooth display.
