Grout fills the joints between tiles, locks them together and keeps water and dirt out. Good grouting makes cheap tiles look expensive; poor grouting makes good tiles look tired within months.
Quick answer: Wait until the tile adhesive has set (usually 24 hours), clean out the joints, mix grout to a smooth paste, press it diagonally into the joints with a rubber float, wipe off the excess with a damp sponge after 10–20 minutes, then buff off the haze. Keep floors dry and off-limits for about 24 hours. Use 2–3 mm joints on walls and 3–5 mm on floors. Tile grout costs from KSh 100 per pack on Buy More Mall.

It depends on tile size, joint width and depth: small tiles with wide joints use far more grout than large tiles with narrow joints. For an average bathroom floor with 40×40 cm tiles and 3 mm joints, a few kilograms is usually enough; ask the seller with your room size and tile size.
Corners and edges: use silicone, not grout, where walls meet floors, baths or basins. Those joints move and grout cracks there. See how to apply silicone sealant.
Normally no. Grouting before the adhesive sets can move tiles and trap moisture. Some rapid-set adhesives allow same-day grouting; follow the adhesive pack.
A family scrapes out cracked, stained grout from a kitchen splash-back with a grout rake, vacuums the joints, applies white grout, wipes and buffs it, and seals the worktop edge with clear silicone. The splash-back looks new for the cost of a pack of grout.
